Annual winners, new categories

Annual winners for Slide, Digital and Online competitions have now been posted in the Winners' albums. In addition, everyone can now read the PSA Judge's comments on each of last year's winners of the online competition in Online Photo Contest Albums - Annual Judging Album.

The first online contest for our 2006/7 year is now open in the Online Contests Album and there is a completely new Gallery: Upload for Online Digital Contest, where members can upload images for entry in the digital section of the judged competition at meetings. Deadline for uploads is noted in each album and only club members can upload in this gallery.

Please note that starting with this year, uploaded images for both online and meeting competition should be sized to 1024 pixels on the longest side, if you are able to do it.

Digital projector has arrived

"The Digital Projector has arrived and last night we had a meeting with Bill Mertens - our future webmaster, Tony - our slide projectionist, Tom King, Harry, and me. Todd Giddings, who has offered the use of his laptop couldn't attend because he is away and will return on Friday."

Annual Judging - Update

The results of our annual online contest and comments from the PSA judge are in. We will announce them in our annual awards dinner on 15th May at Hoss's

Film Developing Tip

Try YorkPhoto.com for film developing. You can do it on the internet. I have had good results. Download just the pictures you want printed. Trying to get info on making slides. Will let you know.

Update: York Photo Lab does not do color slides at this time.

Wonderful photos everyone

Congratulations, all slide and online contest winners of January and February 2006. Really outstanding work.

Don's forget to enter your photos for the current online contest and vote on the entries.

Sorting of contest entries

We now have a new way of sorting the contest entries based on number of votes received. The entries with least number of votes are placed at the top of the albums to increase their visibility. Therefore, you will notice that when you enter your votes, the order of the photos change.

Note that, the order of the entries do not reflect the score of the entries.

Photos for critique

Do you know, you can post your photos for critique in the Forums?

Click the Forums link from the modules. Then go to the photo critique forum. There you can upload your photo and request others to critique it.

Website is up

Hello, members and guests. We have a good news for you. The migration to the new web server is now complete. We now have a redesigned website up and running. We hope you like this new website. Please let us know if you face any problem using the website. You can use the 'Contact' page to reach us.

Unfortunately, we can't import the login information from the previous web server. Therefore, please register again to post photos, add comments or vote on entries. We also had to reset the polls of the online contests. So if you had already cast your votes, please do so again.
