Monthly Contest Categories for 2011-12
Each month, except April and May, we have competitions with either an open category where a photo of any subject may be entered or a special category where the image must conform to a particular theme. There is both a meeting competition, where images are scored by an outside judge and a separate online competition which is scored by users of this site. Both competitions feature an open and a theme category each month.
All registered users may participate in the online contest but only club members may enter the judged meeting competition.
In April we have a Photo Essay competition (meeting only) and in May an Awards meeting to recap the year\'s competition results and announce yearly winners.
Below are the themes we have chosen for monthly contests in the current year. Current and upcoming contest dates/themes are shown in black and past themes are shown in gray. The first two themes on each line are for the meeting competitions. The Online themes appear in parenthesis after the meeting contest themes.
Past judges appear in the the \'Judges\' column. Judges from 2006-08 can be seen here.
