President’s Notes are provide you with current news about the photo club and also a notice and agenda for the next meeting. They are also emailed to dues-paying club members usually a few days prior to our next meeting.

Meeting Agenda: Theme Competition and Advice Session
Theme for this month is “Kindness”
Note: We are extending photo uploads for Advice for one more day! If you have submitted two photos already you may submit one more for advice only. Deadline is Friday December 17 at midnight. Elk Creek Café Exhibit: Features photos from the following twelve members: Lisa Marie Cirincione, Bill Duffy, John Larson, Jane Liechty, Gary Perdue, Lou Saporito, Brad Shearer, Rich Shore, Ann Taylor-Schmidt, Carolyn Todd-Larson, David Whiteman, and Naveen Yellappa.

March Print Competition: Be thinking about what you will bring to the meeting for next month. Prints should be no larger than 12 x 8.5 inches and unmounted and unframed. Danielle Crowe, Advanced Photography Instructor at State College Area High School, will judge the prints. Further instructions will be emailed closer to the date.

PSA Inter-Club Round Two: The following photos will be submitted to PSA Interclub for Round Two. Thanks to Lou Saporito, Ann Taylor-Schmidt, and Naveen Yellappa for their help in judging these photos, and to John Larson for organizing the selection process:
State College Youth Showcase: I presented a Youth Showcase Invitation (click here to view) to Advanced Photography students in Danielle Crowe’s class at State College Area High School on January 30. The students had some very astute critiques of some of the PSA winners included in the presentation. They discussed several ideas of what to submit for this year’s competition. I also presented the PSA certificates to Kara Johnson and Danielle Crowe. We will be having a Zoom session to judge the youth photos on March 13. You will be invited to participate.
