Calendar

Monday, December 17 Meeting 7-9 pm, Print Competition and Holiday Party. There is no theme; you can submit a print of any subject you choose. We have invited Eric Roman, associate teaching professor at Penn State, to judge this competition. We will follow the same guidelines as last year’s print competition:

  • Print on any type of photo paper you choose. Do NOT print on glass or metal.
  • Print should not be framed or matted. It can be mounted on foam core, but it doesn’t have to be.
  • Borders can be added but please adhere to the overall size limitation of the print.
  • The size of the print should be no larger than 12” on the long side.
  • You will probably want the minimum size to be at least 5”x7”.
  • We will bring gloves in order to handle the prints.
  • Please bring the print to the meeting on December 20.  If you can’t be there, you may arrange for someone else to bring the print.
  • It would be helpful if you could submit a digital copy of your print beforehand. We will set up a PollUnit for this. The digital files will be projected at the meeting while the judge is talking about the photo so we can all see what he is talking about.

Of course, this meeting is also our Holiday Party. Be prepared for a bit of fun!

Monday, January 15 Meeting 7-9 pm, Workshop: Favorite Lightroom Hacks presented by club members! If you want to present for 5,10, or 15 minutes on a few of your Lightroom or Photoshop tips and tricks, please fill out the form attached to this email and send it to Bill Duffy wjduffypa@gmail.com.

Bonus! Monday, January 22 Zoom Presentation 7-9 pm by Eddie Soloway. This is not a regular meeting night. We are coordinating this event with three other local clubs (the Frederick Camera Clique in Maryland, the ABC Photo Society in Hollidaysburg, and the Pittsburgh Photography Club). Please mark your calendars for this special event. Soloway will present on “Memories, Moons and Imagination” as well as share some tips about long exposure.
